The Island of Dr. Moreau- Ch.1

In the first chapter of the book, the main character (Edward Prendick) gets saved from shipwreck with other two survivors. They get lost in the ocean without enough food and water. Later, two other survivors fight over the food and both of them die. The main character gets exhausted and the book doesn't explain what happened next. But, eventually he gets found and saved.
